Well, it finally happened. We got surf! I was the second one out at the spot, and it was actually big enough to ride the Firewire. That was all I wished for, just one day to tune up before the trip, and it was so fun to have something that actually resembled a real wave. I had to give a surf lesson at 9am, so I scrambled around trying to snag whatever I could before the crowd hit at 8:30am, then I raced over to the pier, and gave Ryan his lesson. He was stoked, and his mom got some shots of him getting to his feet today! Then I raced outside to find Karen, grinning and having a great time. This picture is of her. I love the look on her face, it says it all. Chuck told me he saw the wave forecast for Nicaragua, and two swells are on the way. Oh, man... can't wait!
