These are the last minutes of the Christmas Break. I passed on the bike ride because there was the chance that the point might happen today. It was not the shining moment of December 19th, but it was a bit of fun. On the bike that Bruce let me borrow, I made my way through the soft sand down to the inlet where I found about five guys out. The wind was already turning light onshore. It never came up all that strong, thankfully. The thing that struck me right away was how weak the waves felt. There was just no "umph" to them, and that was not a good combination when combined with my lackluster energy levels of the last few days. Nonetheless, the day was warm, the winds were light, and I had many, many waves. One, in particular, made it worth everything. Remember here, that one, near the end, right at high tide, the one that bowled up right where I was, and the wall stood up, open, and I got to do almost everything I am capable of, and all on that one wave. Joy.
